Toril GIS Usage Terms

Toril GIS is unofficial Fan Content permitted under the Wizards of the Coast (WotC) Fan Content Policy. Not approved/endorsed by Wizards. Portions of the materials used are property of Wizards of the Coast. ©Wizards of the Coast LLC.

Our goal with Toril GIS is to provide a powerful, community-driven tool for exploring the Forgotten Realms. The project operates under the Fan Content Policy, which sets the main rules for its use:

• Keep it Non-Commercial. This is the most important rule from the Fan Content Policy. You are free to use, create, and share your maps for any personal, non-commercial purpose. You cannot sell maps made with Toril GIS.
• Be Respectful. Please do not use the project materials in an offensive or harmful context, and always respect the intellectual property of other creators.

The Fan Content Policy states that any fan content you create can be used by WotC and other fans without requiring them to give you credit. While the policy doesn’t require attribution, we believe that giving credit is a cornerstone of the fan community. To make it easy, here is a single block that fulfills the mandatory WotC disclaimer and includes a credit to Toril GIS project:
